Needlepoint - Fall Leaves 2
Celebrate fall and learn simple needlepoint stitches to make three decorative burlap leaves. No needlepoint experience is required—class will provide all the instructions, assistance, materials, and fun you’ll need to complete three leaves. When your leaves are stitched they’re ready to add to your fall decorations, no finishing required!
Fall Leaves 2 is the second in a series of classes where students will embellish burlap leaves while learning to needlepoint or adding to their needlepoint skills. In this class, students will learn Chevron Variation, Giant Brick, and Byzantine Variation stitches.
Prerequisite: None.
Supplies: Some supplies are included: burlap leaves, size 22 needle and Dritz Fray Check. Yarn is not included.
Students can bring stash yarns or purchase yarn from Yarnivore. Recommended yarn sizes are fingering, light sport or light DK weights. Nancy has been needlepointing since she was 10 years old. She has diverse experience designing stitch guides, as well as creating and customizing fiber selections for needlepoint canvases. Nancy enjoys teaching needlepoint and encourages her students to "try something new," maybe a new stitch or textured fibers or beads to add variety, embellishment, and dimension to their needlepoint piece.
