The Best Little Yarn Crawl in Texas!
A few tips to make your Yarn Crawl more fun:
(Don't know what the Yarn Crawl is? Click here for info & rules)

Special Crawl Hours!
All participating yarn stores will have the same hours during the Crawl. October 11-20th, Yarnivore will be open 9 am-6 pm. (We will hold normal evening classes from 6-8, but will lock our doors to shopping at 6.)

Protect Your Passport!
We often find passports during Crawl; you can protect yours by taking the following steps: 1) put your name and contact info on it ASAP. If you leave it behind, we can call/email/text you. 2) attach it to your bag by punching a hole in it and tying it to your bag with a long piece of yarn. Where you and your bag go, so goes your passport.

Make a Plan!
Plan your travel and make sure you have snacks and beverages. Yarn Crawling is highly energetic, so make sure you're fueled up. Yarnivore always snacks and water available to keep the hangries at bay.

Pool Party!
Want to find people to "Crawl-pool" with? Yarnivore will host a meet up so that you can meet and match up with others who want to ride share. TIME/DATE is this Sunday, October 6 from 1-3 pm.
You can also seek carpool partners through our online carpool form.

Wind it up! Wind it up! Wind it up!
Long time Yarnivores know that space and staff availability is limited during Crawl. This means that we have to store our winding equipment for the duration. If you need something wound, plan on bringing it to us before October 11th!

Time saving tips!
Want to speed up your passport stamping time and shorten the line? Print up address labels in advance for the daily drawing slips. Make sure the label has your name, phone, email, and "home" shop (this is so we can deliver your prize there for easy pick up). If you want to be added to stores' email lists, add a "yes to email list" on the bottom (or you can check this off quickly on the drawing form at each store).

Customer Favorite Pattern
Deirdre Stein recommended this fascinating shawl by Stephen West. The Esjan shawl (~$6.60 in-store or on Ravelry) features a garter stitch body with gorgeous giant eyelets in the border. It's both airy and cozy. Stunning in multiple colors as shown, but there's an all-white version on Ravelry that's amazing!
This is a great project for basic worsted yarns like Plymouth Galway, Cascade 220, or Plymouth Encore! Or to make it more luxurious, try doing it in shades of Eco Alpaca!

Yarn Crawl Carpooling
The Carpool sign-up form is now live! If you're interested in finding other Crawlers to carpool with, fill out this form. Note: all respondents will be able to see each other's information. (Yarnivore provides this form as a service, but is not responsible for how respondents use the information)

2019 Crawl Passports are in!
If you pre-ordered your passport, you can come pick it up at any time! If you still need one, it's not too late! We still have passports and bags aplenty. We will run out of bags eventually, though, so we suggest coming in for your passport soon!
