End of Year SALE Time!
Always Learning!
We are all beginners
We all started our crafting journey with an inspiration to learn. Even the experts began with just an idea of what they wanted to learn and then grew their skills one stitch at a time. Crafters of all kinds celebrate mastering new skills and making things, whether it's crocheted, knitted, woven, needlepointed, or spun.
As we prepare for the new year (good riddance 2020), we thought we'd share our ideas on learning, including ways to learn while we continue to socially distance (and can we just say that we wish we'd never had to learn that phrase? WE MISS YOU!).
If you're trying to polish your skills at home, check out Deja Joy's website, Knit and Crochet Ever After. Deja Joy has a variety of knit, crochet, and other tutorials, like her review and instructional video of the Clover Pom Pom Maker. She also has a series of left-hand crochet videos (and right-hand ones, too). We like this source because of the variety of tutorials, professional quality, and instruction quality.
Deja Joy is also a designer and she offers free and paid patterns, like the crocheted Hooded Scarf and Cabled Owl Washcloth. Her patterns include an instructional video and pdf. Pair the scarf with any worsted weight (i.e., medium-#4) yarn, like Berroco Ultra Wool or Scheepjes Eliza, and the washcloth with any worsted weight cotton yarn, Universal Yarn Clean Cotton Multi or Cotton Supreme.
Tune in next week for more suggestions for online learning!
Be well, be safe, be kind!

Why did bed jackets ever go out of style? They're AWESOME! You can throw it over your shoulders while you're snuggled with the rest of you under the covers while you hang out doing bed or sofa activities - what's not to love? Maybe it needs a name change? Okay, let's call it a Netflix & Chill jacket!
Whatever you call it, this wrap would make a perfect one! Of course, you could also wear Berroco's Teresita wrap out in public, but it looks like such an elegant way to keep warm over your tank top and shorts jammies. It's $6 on Berroco.com. Knit it using Arno, a super soft cotton/merino blend for cozy comfort!

The Tip Jar
Argh! You got a hole in your sock! NOW WHAT?!
No worries - there's a quick and easy way to fix it, if you don't mind it looking a little imperfect. Just grab some roving and a felting needle and NEEDLEFELT a patch! Works a treat - not the prettiest repair, but keeps your feet warm. You can even pre-emptively felt some roving in for spots that are getting a bit thin.
All regular classes are currently on hold until we can safely seat up to 6 students in the classroom. We'll let y'all know when we can offer them again. Until then, we're offering most of our class material in private lessons.
