A Fiber Runs Through It
Fun for the weavers and spinners!
The Contemporary Handweavers of Texas (CHT) Biennial Conference will be June 2-6 at the Omni Hotel at the Colonnade. The CHT promotes interest in handweaving and related crafts and this conference will several days of workshops and seminars. Their biennial conference is a great way to meet new people, renew old friendships, and learn new techniques. Also, vendors come from all around the country to show off their fabulous yarns, equipment, books and other items. For more information and to register, visit the CHT website.
For more local weaving resources, you can also join the San Antonio Handweaver's Guild. They are a friendly group of individuals who exhibit a wide range of interest and expertise in the fiber arts.

The Tip Jar
Needle keepers are usually used by needlepointers and cross-stitchers to hold their, y'know, needles. But since they're really just magnets, they can be used for lots of things! Attach it to your shirt and you can hold metal darning needles or cable needles. They can hold the tightening tool for interchangeable needles. You can even use them to hold a few pins while sewing. You can even hold nails or drill bits when doing stuff around the house. Anywhere a small magnet would be helpful, you can use a needle keeper.
All regular classes are currently on hold until we can safely seat up to 6 students in the classroom. We'll let y'all know when we can offer them again. Until then, we're offering most of our class material in private lessons.
