It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...
Time to fire up the wish lists!

The holidays, y'all! They're upon us! Thanksgiving is just next week, and that means that it's time to start thinking about the answer to one of life's most difficult questions:
"What do you want for Christmas, honey?"
(Substitute the holiday and endearment of your choice)

Well, here are some ideas if you have someone who wants to splurge on you (or if you want to splurge on yourself!), and luckily they are ALL in stock here at Yarnivore, with no supply chain problems at all!

1. Rev up your excitement with the 24 Days of Minis Advent Calendar from Hedgehog Fibers! Every day, you'll get a 20 gram/88 yard mini-skein of hand-dyed Hedgehog Beauty, with a special secret gift on the 24th. There are only 4 of these in stock and once sold, they will not be restocked!

2. Tell your gift-givers that you'd love to be spoiled with 12 days of Madeline Tosh. We can't tell you what's in the kit because WE DON'T KNOW! But MadTosh tells us that there are 13 Mini Skeins in High Twist, 44 yards per mini / 100% Superwash DK weight / comprised of a warm winter color palette featuring two new shades, 3 Madelinetosh maker surprises, 2 Patterns (one knit & one crochet). Featured Pattern & Yarn
Our featured pattern this week isn't just ONE pattern, it's a whole Pinterest Board of them! We have mini-skeins on our minds, so we thought we'd share this beautiful Pinterest board of projects for mini-skeins put together by the lovely folks at Hedgehog fibers!
Okay, well, we did pick one especially pretty and easy one. Shown at right is a close-up of the Fading Stripes Shawl. It's a free download from Hedgehog fibers and it's super easy! Just knit and yarnover. Change colors every two rows. And it's so pretty! Head on over to the pattern page to see the whole shawl. It would obviously be gorgeous in the Hedgehog Advent Calendar Minis, but would also be a great stash-buster for all the leftover bits of sock/fingering weight yarn.

In-store and online private lessons are available! Please call us at 210-979-8255 to schedule a lesson! Wendy, Dawn, Moses, and Nancy M. are all available to help you with your projects! Private Lessons can be scheduled outside of regular hours at the discretion of the teacher.

The Tip Jar

Here's a storage tip:
Save those pretty jars and tins that candles and fancy jams come in and fill them up with various stitch markers. If you're a stitch marker aficionado like we are, you will want to sort them in various styles. At right, Wendy's jar of locking stitch markers.

All regular classes are currently on hold until we can safely seat up to 6 students in the classroom. We'll let y'all know when we can offer them again. Until then, we're offering most of our class material in private lessons.
