Happy Father's DayA bearded man holds hands with a child. The child is holding a paper heart that covers most of his torso. The text behind them reads
We'll be closed this Sunday for Father's Day

To the dads who knit, crochet, spin, weave, and stitch - may your day be filled with yarn and thread!

To the pops who do other crafts - thank you for sharing your creativity!

To the papas who are no longer with us - we miss you every day.

To the father-figures who have been our mentors and supporters - thank you for cheering us on!

To the kids who don't have a dad - we admire your strength and honor your pain.

We wish you all a happy and peaceful Father's Day.

Shop NewsTwo women hold two rectangular shawls between them. The shawls have panels of colors in every shade of the rainbow with each shade separated by a band of grey. The background is a painting of a rainbow with musical notes over a snow-capped mountain

Designer Amy Gunderson created this rainbow shawl based on the original 1978 Pride Flag created by Gilbert Baker for the San Francisco Pride Parade. Not only does it symbolize LGBTQIA+ acceptance and inclusion, it also promotes craft inclusion, as it's available in both knit and crochet versions! Both versions are available for $6 in-store, on Ravelry, or at the Jimmy Beans Wool website.
Both the knit and crochet versions call for fingering weight yarn. We suggest Tosh Sock, Dream in Color Minis (both merino wool), or Catona for a cotton version.

The Tip Jar

We really believe in making notes on your patterns! We believe in notating everything - size, needles, colors, techniques... Mark that pattern up!

But what if you want to do it in a different size or use different yarn later? Well, that's why we suggest that you make those notes in pencil. If your paper is too shiny and you can't mark with pencil, either use an erasable pen, or put some highlighter tape down and make the note on the tape.
