Introducing Yarnivore's Newest Staffer
We are so glad to welcome Suzy to our Yarnivore staff! Suzy is a fabulous knitter and an even more fabulous human!
Recently retired, Suzy has spent her career teaching German and Art at Warren High School, while also raising her two daughters. She came to San Antonio from Oklahoma and embodies the welcoming midwestern spirit.
She has taught several high school students to knit, and will be teaching classes and private lessons here at Yarnivore! Keep an eye out for her cheerful smile next time you're at the shop!
She also crochets and does cross-stitch, so she's multicraftual.
Here are some of her recent projects, including the Papillon Shawl (which she'll be teaching a class on soon).

Has this happened to you? You're knitting or crocheting along and all of a sudden, there's this clump of fiber on your yarn. It's not a knot, but it's not attractive, either. This is usually just a little bit of extra fiber that got caught in the yarn at the mill.

Here's what to do about it: Pinch the side of the clump while holding your yarn taut, then tug the clump sideways from the yarn. It will come free, leaving a little fuzz on the yarn. Roll the yarn between your fibers to flatten the fuzz and it will be smooth like nothing happened.
