So Much Pride!
So Much Pride!
Fabulous Patterns to Celebrate Pride Month
This month is the 54th Pride celebration and it’s a time to appreciate how the LGBTQ+ community has contributed to our history.
How is playing with yarn like celebrating Pride month? Both incorporate the full spectrum of colors in their work. The colors of the traditional Pride flag represent life, healing, sunlight, nature, serenity, and spirit; there are other Pride flags that symbolize different identities in the LGBTQ+ community, too. This week, we’re celebrating patterns and yarns that make the most of allllll the colors!

Before you start a crochet pattern, make sure you know which terms it uses. The UK and the US use the same terms differently - not confusing at all! For example, the US single crochet (sc) is the same as the UK double crochet (dc). Most patterns will state which terms they're using but some don't. One quick way to tell is that the UK doesn't use sc. If this is in your pattern, then it's probably written in US terms. If it's an amigurumi pattern and using dc, then it's probably written in UK terms (we need the shortest stitches, aka sc, for amis). Easy Crochet offers more tips or ask us if you're unsure which terms are being used.
