It's The Great Rearrangement!

The next time you step into Yarnivore, you’ll notice some changes. We’ve spent the last few days (& will spend a few more) on the Great Rearrangement! This includes shifting the seating area away from the front windows, consolidating the needlepoint & cross stitch items & switching the location of the DK-3 & Fingering-1 yarns.

By moving the seating area further into the store, we’re getting it away from the heat. Those of you that have sat near the windows on summer afternoons will understand why! Also, we wanted to consolidate the needlepoint & cross stitch items so they’re easier to find. Finally, the yarns have been moved to maximize space for new yarns in those sections.

If you’re in this week, you’ll see that we’re still working on rearranging the books & other notions. Plus, we’re waiting for additional lighting & area rugs to arrive. Thanks for bearing with us as we finish up the Great Rearrangement, we hope you like it!

Stitch on!

clip art of a clear mason jar with three balls of yarn inside, one red, one green, one purple. The label on the jar reads Tip JarThe Tip Jar: Do Your Own Rearranging!

Our store rearrangement reminded us of a really good habit for managing your stash & tools. If you feel like things are getting lost in the clutter, we recommend you set aside some time to gather everything, organize it, & put it away again. This may seem tedious, but we find that pulling everything out helps you find misplaced items & organize them a bit better. You may even find project inspiration while doing so!

Beyond the great rearrangement, we also use this to ensure our inventory is correct & to make sure everything is on the shelves. You’d be surprised how often we find a particular color is in backstock but not on our front shelves.
